OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST

 

Ilana received her Masters in Occupational Therapy from Queen's University in 2012. She also received her B.ED in Physical and Health Education from McGill University in 2010. She is licensed by the College of Occupational Therapists in Ontario, and is a member of the Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists.

Ilana has extensive experience working with children and adults with ASD, Down Syndrome and developmental delays. She has worked with children in the school system and in private settings with a focus on sensory processing, self-regulation, fine motor, and gross motor skills. She conducts assessments and provides therapy for children with an emphasis on multi-sensory and evidence-based approaches. Additionally, she has experience working with young adults on life, social, and vocational skills. 
Ilana's energetic and positive attitude shines through when she works with her clients. Her professional manner and focus on meeting goals is balanced by her use of fun and levity to create a great environment for learning and growth.
