Occupational Therapist

Barri is an occupational therapist who holds a Master of Science degree in occupational therapy from Queen’s University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Promotion from Dalhousie University. She is licensed by the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario and the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy in the United States. She also holds membership with the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists. 

Barri has worked with children in community, private practice, and school settings and was most recently with the York Region District School Board where she supported students with physical disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, developmental delays, Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD), and fine and gross motor skill development as a member of an interdisciplinary team.

Barri is a certified proficient DIRFloortime provider. She prides herself on using a fun, family-centered and evidence informed approach to enhance her client’s skills and independence through play and help them in achieving their goals.
