Speech-Language Pathologist

Cynthia received her master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh. Cynthia’s previous clinical practice includes pediatric & adult hospital and community intervention as well as school age children within the schools. Cynthia currently focuses on pre-school and school age populations. Cynthia provides a client-centered and play-based approach to therapy. 

Additional Training: Ongoing education courses in motor speech, expressive and receptive language development, myofunctional therapy, feeding therapy, and tethered oral tissues (TOTs). Cynthia is a trained Orofacial Myofunctional Therapist. Cynthia completed Hanen’s It Takes Two to Talk and More than Words Certification. She is currently working towards completing a course in Gestalt Language Learners in Autistic Children. 

Special interests: Articulation/phonology, expressive/receptive language, Orofacial Myofunctional Disorders (tongue thrust, tethered oral tissues, thumb sucking and drooling), oral motor/Apraxia and Autism Spectrum Disorder.
